Kathmandu. Mahalakshmi Bikas Bank, which is providing state-of-the-art, secure and easy digital banking facilities to its customers, has launched the latest inter-bank scan-to-cash service in association with PhonePe. Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has become the first development bank in Nepal to start such a service.
Under this, customers will be able to withdraw cash easily by scanning the QR at the teller counter through any bank’s mobile banking app. The service, which was started in the initial phase from the Durbarmarg branch and Thapathali branch of yes bank, will be extended across the country in the near future. With the expansion of this facility, the bank believes that it will help reduce the compulsion of withdrawing cash through the use of cheque or ATM card in the traditional way.
Further strengthening its commitment to digital innovation, the bank in collaboration with Nepal Clearing House Limited has already launched cross-border QR payment service through Ali Pay Plus network. Through this service, tourists coming from China, Singapore, South Korea and other countries will be able to scan Nepal Pay QR and pay easily in Nepal from their country’s digital wallet.
The bank has recently launched “Mahalaxmi Smart Sathi” by refining the mobile application in line with the bank’s policy of providing state-of-the-art, secure and easy digital banking facilities to its customers.
