Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has organized various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. The bank has been conducting various programs under its corporate social responsibility in various areas such as financial literacy, education, health, natural disaster management, environment conservation, cultural promotion, infrastructure development/improvement, sustainable development goals, human service and philanthropic activities.

In this connection, the bank has provided financial support to Senior Citizens Chautari, Thecho, Lalitpur to conduct health camp with full health check-up for senior citizens of Sudurpaschim Province and conduct workshop on prevention of non-communicable diseases. Similarly, the bank has provided 5 computer sets and 5 tables to Police Circle, Satdobato, which was damaged during the agitation in the month of Bhadra.

Similarly, financial assistance has been provided to the Integrated Community Development and Research Centre, Simkot, Humla to provide food to 65 households of Adanchuli Rural Municipality Ward No. 1 of 44 Kosh in Humla.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, the bank has provided financial support to the girls of Bhukriti Secondary School and Shree Salyan Sukhaura Secondary School of Baglung, Shree Prithvi Secondary School and Shree Araniko Secondary School of Jhapa district and Shree Ganesh Surya Basic School in Jhapa district through various Rotary Clubs to provide safe and convenient toilet facilities to girl students.

Similarly, 180 warm clothes were distributed to 180 students of Balkumari Basic School, Sainbu, Lalitpur. Similarly, various educational materials have been distributed to the students of various schools of Gorkha district in collaboration with Moonlight Society Nepal, Gorkha.

The bank believes that such CSR activities will contribute to the overall economic and social development.
