Kathmandu. Nepal Federal Socialist Party Chairman and former Minister of State for Home Affairs Md. Rizwan Ansari has said that they are going to form an alternative grand alliance or front to establish the statehood of the oppressed people. He has said that he will declare a real front of the oppressed people.
Ansari made this statement at an interaction program on ‘The role of the oppressed people in securing additional rights while protecting the federal democratic system’ jointly organized by four political parties, Nepal Federal Socialist Party, Bahujan Ekta Party Nepal, Nepal Sadbhawana Party and Nepal Janajagruti Party, in Janakpurdham on Saturday.
Criticizing the Federal Democratic Front recently announced by seven Madhesh-centric political parties, he said, ‘The front announced by the seven parties is a group of alleged Madheshists and opportunists. They have always hijacked the Madhesi people’s movement and acted dishonestly.’
He accused the Madhesh activists of hijacking the Madhesh movement, saying that the leadership of Madhesh has never been in the hands of a genuine Madhesh. He alleged that the leaders of the seven-party front have become ministers many times but have done nothing for the oppressed people.
‘Look at the faces of the front that have been announced even now, they have never been able to rise above their narrow-mindedness. There is no leadership from Dalits, Muslims, or backward classes in their front. They always kept themselves narrow-minded, due to which the entire oppressed people of Nepal always had to bear the losses.’ He added, ‘The so-called Madhesh activists are actually narrow-minded.’
He said, ‘The need now is to gather all the oppressed forces in the country in one place and then struggle with the state for rights, including going to the elections. Only then will the oppressed people be properly represented in the parliament.’
Saying that the issues that have been abandoned by the issue-dissolutionists will be taken forward, Ansari alleged that due to their inaction, Madhesh, which was out of 22 districts, has been reduced to eight districts today.
President Ansari said that former King Gyanendra violated all the limits of the constitution and incited the people to commit crimes. ‘All the facilities given to former King Gyanendra should be taken away. Because he is attacking the constitution. Wherever there is a revolution against it, it ends it and establishes a new one. But in Nepal, the Congress, UML and Maoists have repeatedly deceived the people. Even now, the people are saying that action should be taken against this criminal,’ he said.
The interaction program was addressed by Ananta Rai, the central general secretary of the Nepal Federal Socialist Party, Bimala Ansari, a member of parliament from Madhesh and former Minister of Home, Communications and Law, and top leaders of the Bahujan Ekta Party, Nepal Sadbhavana Party and Janajatriti Party.
