Kathmandu. Lion Milan Babu Malla has been elected as the District Governor of Lions International District 325J Nepal for the upcoming Lion Year. Dhruba Bahadur Thapa, PDG, Lion Prajapati Bastola and Lion Kush Prasad Malli have been elected as international director indoors, first vice-district governor and second vice-district governor respectively.
Former Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha was the chief guest, Mahanayak Rajesh Hamal, International Director Lion Balkrishna Burlakoti, Past International Director Lion Sanjay Khaitan, GAT Area Leader Lion Khagendra Sitaula and LCIF Area Leader Lion Rajan Lamsal and Multiple Council Chairperson Lion Ramesh Kumar Lama were the special guests. Lion Devi Gurung has been nominated as cabinet treasurer and Lion Krishna Prasad Sharma as chief advisor.
He also shared his theme for the upcoming year as “Let’s Respect Each Other” and his main events.
Former Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha, who was the chief guest on the occasion, talked about the social work done by Lions Club in Nepal. Rajesh Hamal, who was also present as the special guest and chief speaker, said that human life would be well-being if everyone reflects on why we are on this earth. He urged everyone to be able to bring happiness on the face of at least one other person.
Current District Governor Lion Milan Thapa congratulated the newly elected district governor and the entire team and urged them to do social work by always recognizing District 325J as a successful district. On the occasion, she honoured lions leaders who have done good work in the district with certificates of appreciation and medals.
Lions Leader Lion Bodh Bahadur Raut Chhetri and Lions Leader Bishnu Prasad Bhusal were honoured on the occasion. More than 700 Lions leaders of District 325J Nepal were present at the event, said Lion Ram Raja Thapa, COORDINATOR and PRO-CHIEF of The District, hosted by Lions Club of Kathmandu Banasthali.
