Kathmandu. A judge has been shot dead during a court hearing in the Albanian capital Tirana.
Judge Estrid Kalaha died on the way to a hospital after being shot, officials said. A father and son, who were present at a hearing related to a property dispute, were also shot and injured. However, their condition is out of danger.
Police have arrested a 30-year-old suspect. According to local media, his name is Elvis Schembi.
Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed grief over the death of the judge and said “strong legal action” will be taken against those who fired the shots.
