Japan to provide 573 million yen grant for dhulikhel hospital trauma and emergency centre

Kathmandu. Nepal and Japan have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide an additional grant of 573 million yen for the Dhulikhel Hospital Trauma and Emergency Center Improvement Project.

Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Ghanashyam Upadhyay and Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Maeda Toru signed the MoU.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel and Japanese Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Ikuina Akiko signed the MoU.

Earlier in October 2023, an agreement was signed with the Japanese government to provide a grant of 3.29 billion yen for the implementation of this project.

Finance Minister Poudel and Japan’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Akiko held separate meetings soon after the signing of the MoU.
