Kathmandu. Fixed deposits of insurance companies have increased by 10.25 percent.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the current fiscal year 2082. This is according to the data of the first month of 83 July. Insurance companies (life, non-life, reinsurance, micro life and micro non-life) have invested Rs 671.54 billion in fixed deposits of banks and financial institutions. Previous fiscal year 2081. The investment of insurance companies was Rs 608.87 billion till mid-July 2018. In the last one year, the investment of insurance companies in fixed deposits of banks has increased by 10.29 percent.
Similarly, the investment of Employees Provident Fund (EPF) in the form of fixed deposits decreased by 3.62 percent to Rs 177.50 billion in the review period. The total investment of Employees Provident Fund (EPF) in the banks was Rs 184.16 billion as of mid-July last year.
Citizen Investment Trust’s investment in banks increased by 5.28 percent to Rs 129.88 billion in the review period. As of mid-July last year, Citizen Investment Fund (CIT) had a deposit of Rs 123.37 billion.
The size of personal deposits has also increased by 13.55 percent till mid-July of the current fiscal year. In the review period, the personal deposits in the banks increased from Rs 4.034 trillion to Rs 4.58 trillion in the review period.
