Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) has advised the general public to take insurance into consideration of their source of income.
The authority has issued a public awareness notice for insurance awareness. “The insured should take into consideration their needs, profession and source of income,” the authority has suggested, “Otherwise, it may not be possible to continue the policy before the expiry of the deadline.” ’
Similarly, the authority has suggested that the insurance should be done only after understanding all the terms and conditions mentioned in the policy. “All the details to be disclosed in the insurance proposal form should be clearly disclosed,” the authority said.
The NRA has also suggested that the information regarding payment of the insurance premium, time for renewal of the policy, name of the desired person and whether or not to receive the claim amount as per the insurance policy should be known before purchasing the insurance policy.
The authority has suggested that the insured should take an official receipt or receipt after paying the insurance premium.
