Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority central office organized the fiscal year 2081. Dhading: A discussion and interaction programme on insurance has been held at Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality in Dhading district of Bagmati Province. The programme concluded on Sunday.
Deputy Director of Nepal Insurance Authority Purna Bahadur Thapa presided over the programme. Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality Chair Krishna Bahadur Thapaliya was the chief guest at the programme. Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality Vice-Chair Tap Bahadur Shrestha was the special guest while Chief Administrative Officer of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality Narbada Ghimire was the special guest.
Members of the executive committee, branch heads working in various branches in Benighat Rorang rural municipality and employees of insurance companies were also present on the occasion.
Will the list be mandatory for mass accident insurance of public representatives and employees in the program? Can the amount given by this municipality be coordinated with micro-insurance? There were complaints that insurance can be done easily but the claim payment process is a bit cumbersome, the insurer pays less than the amount damaged and the claim payment amount is not paid on time.
Chairman of the municipality Krishna Bahadur Thapaliya thanked the Central Office of Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) for organizing discussion and interaction program related to insurance.
Of the 34,000 people in the municipality, 40 per cent of the Chepang community is in the rural municipality and their collective accident insurance program will be launched in 2082. He had expressed commitment to provide collective accident insurance to chepang people from the fiscal year as it was proposed in the budget to provide insurance from the municipality itself.
He expressed commitment to work in collaboration and coordination with the Insurance Authority and insurance companies for more programs related to insurance in the coming days.
Also, Deputy Director of Insurance Authority Purna Bahadur Thapa, responding to the queries raised in the program, urged the municipality to insure everyone as insurance is the right medium to protect life insurance and physical property in the coming days.
