Kathmandu. Indian Congress Party leader Jairam Ramesh has reacted sharply to the decline in the stock market on Monday.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh has said that the market is reacting in a ‘tariffing’ manner as predicted. Ramesh used the word ‘tariffing’ in view of the tariffs recently imposed by US President Donald Trump on India and other countries.
Ramesh portrayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump as experts in hurting their own economies.
On April 2, US President Trump announced that he would impose import duties on goods coming to the US from many countries, including India. After that, all stock markets in Asia, including India, saw a sharp decline on Monday.
