Kathmandu. India will be the sixth largest market in the world by 2023, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said India is poised to become the third largest economy soon. “In this sense, India will be the sixth largest market in the world by 2032,” she said.
Addressing the Investment Roundtable in London, Sitharaman highlighted the reforms undertaken by the Government of India in the last 10 years, as well as unadjustment and reduction in compliance burden for businessmen and individuals.
In a post on social network X, Sitharaman claimed that India is the leader (third largest) in the global financial revolution. “This is going to be about half of the world’s real-time transaction,” the post wrote, adding, “It also has the highest acceptance rate of FinTech at 87 percent globally.” – Agency
