Kathmandu. NIC Asia Bank, under its corporate social responsibility, has inaugurated a library at Shree Siddhartha Secondary School, located in Birgunj Metropolitan City-14, Parsa district of Madhesh province, among the library buildings constructed in community schools across the country. With the main objective of providing necessary educational materials to the students, supporting them in their studies and creating an excellent educational environment in the school, the library building was constructed in collaboration with the concerned school with the help of the bank and handed over to the said school and was inaugurated on Chaitra 12, 2081.
The said library inauguration ceremony was attended by the principal of the said school, Binod Mehta, NIC Asia Bank Madhesh Province Chief Amit KC, other representatives of the concerned school and this bank. Once the library is operational, approximately 1,500 students and teachers of the school will directly benefit from the library.
Previously, the bank has inaugurated libraries built at Shree Birendra Adarsh Secondary School located in Rapti Municipality-7 in Chitwan district of Bagmati Province, Shree Public Secondary School located in Chhapiya, Siyari Rural Municipality-4 in Rupandehi district of Lumbini Province, Shree Bala Sundari Secondary School located in Bhagwanpur Rural Municipality-1 in Siraha district of Madhesh Province, Shree Pavitra Secondary School located in Bandipur Rural Municipality-1 in Tanahun district of Gandaki Province, Shree Mohanyal Secondary School located in Joshipur Rural Municipality-1 in Kailali district of Sudurpaschim Province, Shree Adarsh Secondary School located in Buddhashanti Rural Municipality-2 in Jhapa district of Koshi Province, and Shree Gauriganj Secondary School located in Gauriganj Rural Municipality-3 in the same district. have been handed over.
The bank had allocated a total budget of Rs. 25.30 crore for the construction of the mentioned library buildings. After the construction of the said library buildings, more than 11,000 students studying in the said schools will directly benefit, while the bank is confident that by providing essential library management in the schools, the students will have access to books and other educational learning materials, thereby increasing their educational quality and contributing greatly to personality development.
