Kathmandu. Deposits worth Rs 20 billion have come out of the banking system in a single day. The loan investment of banks has also decreased by Rs 20 billion.
According to nepal rastra bank data, deposit and loan investment decreased by Rs 20-20 billion in a single day on April 15. The total deposits of banks and financial institutions have come down to Rs 6,836 billion in April 2018. The total deposit was Rs 68.56 billion as on the previous day.
Similarly, the total credit investment of banks and financial institutions has come down to Rs 5,512 billion in April 2018. The total loan investment till the previous day was Rs 5,532 billion.
The average CD ratio of banks and financial institutions has decreased to 79.42 percent on April 14. The average CD ratio was 79.47 percent the previous day.
The inter-bank interest rate is 3 per cent, according to nrb data.
