IGI Prudential Insurance’s net insurance premium rises 12% to Rs 364.9 million

Kathmandu. IGI Prudential Insurance Company has released the revised financial statements for the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year 2081/82 BS. Most of the indices have increased except for the company’s profit during the review period.

The company with a share capital of Rs 3.02 billion has a retained earnings of Rs 172 million at the end of the review period. Other equities are worth Rs 574.3 million. As of the review year, the company’s disaster fund stood at Rs 97.5 million. There is 1.86 billion in the special reserve.

In the same period of the previous year, the company’s retained earnings stood at Rs 303.6 million. The other equity was worth Rs 538 million. The disaster fund was Rs 78.9 million. The special reserve had Rs 1.67 billion.

In the review year, the company earned a total insurance premium of Rs 3.94 billion. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, the company had earned a total insurance premium of Rs 3.39 billion. The company’s total insurance premium has increased compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.

In this review year, the company has spent Rs 2.58 billion through reinsurance. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, the company had spent Rs 2.18 billion.

The company earned Rs 1.36 billion in net insurance premium in the review year. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, the company had earned Rs 1.32 billion in net insurance premium. Compared to the previous year, the company’s net insurance revenue has increased by 12.26 percent.

According to the financial statement, the company earned a profit of Rs 364.9 million in the review year. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, the company had earned a profit of Rs 505.7 million. Compared to the previous fiscal year, the company’s profit has decreased in the review period.

In the review year, the company’s earnings per share was Rs 12.5. The price-to-earnings ratio is 46.23 times. The net worth per share is Rs 189.44.
