Although the buildings of the security personnel have been destroyed in the fire and the community has supported the repair and construction of some police buildings, the reconstruction of all the offices has

not been completed.

Ayo said the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is continuously monitoring the human rights situation across the country in the aftermath of the incident.

On the first day of the demonstration, the protesters were killed by the firing of the security forces, and on the second day, there was indiscriminate arson and vandalism.
The fire has caused extensive damage to important government buildings, party offices, private houses, business buildings, educational institutions, media houses and police offices.
Some people were burnt to death during the fire and vandalism, government records were burnt, property was damaged, weapons of security personnel were looted and some goods were stolen and looted.
The NHRC has also suggested the government to pay special attention to reconstruction of government structures that have been torched and vandalized, while boosting the morale of the security personnel.

The NHRC has also directed the government to assess the damage to personal property and identify the reasons for such violent incidents and create an environment in which such violent incidents do not recur in the future. The Commission also urges all stakeholders to cooperate in the reform measures to be taken by the government in the developed context.
