Participation in the License Exam
After the completion of the training, you have to fill the online application form for the exam with the help of the insurance company’s staff on the web portal of the authority. At the time of filling the form, you should choose the date and time of the examination.
You have to take the exam by participating in the exam through a web link at the specified time. There are 4 options for each of the 50 objective questions. You should choose the correct option from the options that appear on the computer screen. Only those who answer at least 25 questions correctly pass the exam.
The Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) issues a license for the trainees who pass the training after measuring the level of learning of the subjects learned during the training. Such a certificate is non-physical (digital). Your license number is also mentioned in the certificate.

After passing the exam and getting the license, you should get all the information about the life insurance company you work for. Information about the background of the company’s directors, paid-up capital, insurance fund, bonus rate, level of customer service, insurance claim ratio should be obtained. After getting information about the company, you should be fully aware of the features of the insurance by first knowing about 4 to 5 types of major insurance plans.
Get a better understanding of the insurance policy{

You should understand in detail about the general types of term, limited payment term, advance payment term and children’s life insurance. You have to have the ability to explain it to others. For this, it is mandatory for you to stay with the employees of the insurance company or an experienced agent for at least 7 to 10 days of training.
You also need to be aware of competing insurance companies. The competitor should be aware of the company’s financial position, insurance plans and bonus rates.
Public Relations Creation
Now it’s our turn to expand public relations in the villages and towns. At this stage, instead of starting to sell insurance policies, start identifying people first. Start getting acquainted. If you don’t have the confidence to post a video on social media showing your face in the initial stages, start regularly posting attention-grabbing content with a combination of pictures and words. Don’t miss to mention your full name, agent ID, and contact number on each item. Don’t worry about the number of followers or viewers on social media, good content will gradually attract viewers. Always appear clean, neat, and as confident as possible when you appear in social media photos or videos.
Regular study and update
The insurance market is competitive. The use of technology is also increasing gradually. Therefore, you should regularly keep abreast of the latest developments and activities happening in the field of insurance services within and outside the country. YouTube channels, news media, social media can be useful for you.
When you have been working for an insurance company for a long time, the company may have introduced new insurance plans instead of the insurance plans that you already knew.
