Kathmandu. December 1 is the last day to secure dividend of Mountain Energy Nepal. The company has decided to close the book on December 3 for the purpose of dividend and AGM. This means that only the shareholders who have remained in the company as of December 1 will be eligible to receive the dividend and participate in the meeting.
The meeting of the Board of Directors of the company held on Thursday has decided to distribute 21.0526% dividend to the shareholders from the profit of the current FY. This includes 20 percent bonus shares and 1.0526 percent cash dividend for tax purposes.
The company has called its annual general meeting on December 29 to approve the dividend. According to the company, the process of the AGM will be forwarded after the approval of the Electricity Regulatory Commission.
