Kathmandu. The House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament has unanimously passed the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill 2082 BS. Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives unanimously passed the bill.
Speaking in the Parliament, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel said the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill would open new doors for the development of large physical infrastructures in Nepal.
Stating that the bill would address nepal’s development needs, Finance Minister Poudel said that the parliament has set an example that important works can be done even in a short time by passing the bill quickly.
Taking part in the discussion on the bill, the opposition lawmakers also praised the bill and thanked the government.
The bill was tabled in the House of Representatives after discussions were held in the Finance Committee of the Parliament.
The main objective of the bill is to invest in large infrastructure projects that give high returns by mobilizing alternative resources.
