Kathmandu. Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel has released a list of progress made in the healthcare sector, including health insurance, on the occasion of completing 100 days in office.
Addressing a press conference at the Ministry on Monday, Minister Poudel said that he has carried out reforms including policy and infrastructure for the health sector. He said that since taking charge of the ministry, he has been working to expand the policy and facility bag for the improvement of health insurance.
In the progress list released by Minister Padel, the topics mentioned about health insurance and social health protection programs are:
• Provision of online renewal and easy referral has been made by amending the Health Insurance Act and Regulations.
• To solve the problems caused by health insurance dues, the amount of payment claims pending so far in the current financial year will be examined
Arrangements have been made to make arrangements.
• First point service can be availed from the place of residence.
• There should be at least one first service point at each local level.
• Once a referrer is taken for the treatment of chronic diseases, there is no need to make a redirect permit when going for re-examination.
• If the insurance has to be renewed after the expiry of the period, arrangements have been made online.
• 8 types of severe diseases (cancer, heart, kidney, head injury, spinal injury, sickle cell anemia, Parkinson’s and

• Only 30 days of insurance have been completed for the first time to get medical care.
