Kathmandu. The provision of additional fees for renewal of expired insurance policies under the health insurance program has been suspended for the time being.
The Health Insurance Board has issued a circular in the name of all registered assistants and registration officers, directing them to implement the provision of additional fees for the time being. The circular has also directed the government not to implement the new provision, including the targeted category renewal and additional fee in the case of the insured who has been renewed under the Work Procedure Related to Renewal of Insurance Policies, 2082 by the citizens associated with the health insurance program, until further notice.
The Insurance Board has already approved the procedure for implementation. However, the insurance board has been directed not to implement the new provision as it will take more time to prepare the necessary structure due to the current evolving situation.
