Guardian Micro Life enters third year, pledges to boost insurance penetration

Kathmandu. Guardian Micro Life Insurance, established as nepal’s first micro insurance company, has entered the third year of its establishment.

The company has entered its third year after successfully completing its two-year business tenure. On this occasion, all the insured customers have been thanked for their trust and goodwill towards the company.

The company has expressed its gratitude to the Insurance Authority of Nepal, investors, directors, agents, employees, concerned agencies of the Government of Nepal, organizations, media persons and all well-wishers for their continuous support, suggestions, advice and guidance to the company during this period. The company hopes to get similar support in the coming days.

Guardian Micro Life, which has been adopting the first fully digital system (paperless) in the insurance sector of Nepal, has been following the development and use of technology over time. The company has expressed its commitment to contribute to poverty reduction and increasing insurance access by making customer service more simple and quality in the coming days.

The company has earned a total insurance premium of Rs 456 million till May of the current fiscal year. In the same period last year, the company had earned a total insurance premium of Rs 42.3 million. Compared to the previous year, the company’s business has increased significantly.

The company claims to have paid 100 per cent of the insurance claims received till May of the current fiscal year. According to the company, rs 77.6 million has been paid for 864 claims till May.

The company has invested Rs 900 million in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year. The company had invested Rs 520.7 million in the same period last year.

At present, the company has been providing micro-life insurance services from 26 branches including the central office. The company employs 62 employees.
