Kathmandu. The government has announced to provide land ownership certificates to 500,000 families.
Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel made the announcement while presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2020/21 in the joint sitting of parliament today. “The problems of landless, Dalits, squatters and disorganized dwellers will be solved permanently by amending the land laws,” he said, adding that 500,000 families would be provided land ownership certificates within the next fiscal year after collecting and verifying the land records. There will be no shortage of resources, resources and manpower for this. ’
Minister Poudel said that records, updates and protection of government and public land will be done.
