Govinda is getting into the agent profession, now he is earning fame and fortune from this field.

Kathmandu. Govinda Pokharel (Pahadi) is a person who has succeeded in making a name for himself in the insurance market in a short time in the insurance sector. He has his own imperial decoration business. Along with his business, he becomes an insurance agent and spreads insurance awareness in his free time.

Govinda is the agency manager of Citizen Life’s Boneshwor branch. He represents Citizen Life and works to spread insurance education and awareness in the insurance market. He has taken out time to expand everyone’s access to insurance, and has taken insurance education campaigns in his society as well as in various places.

Govinda, who was born in Tinpatan Rural Municipality of Sindhuli in 2045, currently resides in Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur. He has studied up to the bachelor’s level. Govinda, who grew up in a middle-class family, had a normal childhood. He had to study while enduring hardships and struggles from a young age. Govinda, who was immersed in hard work from a young age, has not lost his energy to work hard even now.

Govinda completed his studies up to Plus Two from Siraha district. Then, in search of a golden future, he entered the dream world of Kathmandu. Even after coming to Kathmandu, the environment was definitely not comfortable for him. He graduated by struggling.

After that, Gavinda started working on imperial decoration with the aim of starting his own business. He is still involved in this business. He is not only a decoration businessman but is also equally active in the insurance sector. He has been providing insurance to people to keep them safe and secure by insuring their lives.

This is how he got involved in insurance

Govinda got involved in the insurance sector through his brother Arun Acharya. Govinda’s acquaintance’s brother said, ‘Since you are a businessman, everyone trusts you in this profession. Get insurance by providing insurance education. The profession of insurance agent is a very good profession. The profession of making others aware of the safety and risk cover of others is also a virtuous profession. This profession, which you can do as a part-time job, is very good.’ Then Govinda thought, ‘What should I do and is this profession good, can I do it?’ Later, accepting the brother’s words, he got a license from Citizen Life in 2080 BS and started working.

After getting the license, Govinda got his first insurance for his wife. Then he got insurance for his circle of friends, family and relatives. He succeeded in winning everyone’s hearts. He did not think that insurance agent would be such a good profession. However, after the insurance sector gave him success, he found this profession excellent.

Recounting his experience that the agent profession was very difficult in the beginning, Govinda said, ‘It was difficult when I first entered this profession. It was also difficult to pay the insurance. But, later, as I also understood what insurance was, I became more comfortable with it as I went along. Now I am very happy with my profession.’

Govinda says that this profession is excellent. ‘All professions are good. If you work with confidence in all professions and give a positive message, you will get success from all of them,’ he said, ‘The profession that you believe in and work diligently in, that profession is good for you. I have also run my own business. If I also work as an agent, both professions are good for me, but the insurance agent profession is even better because I can do it part-time when I have time. It is like finding the scent of gold for me.’

Govinda says that everyone understands insurance more than before. ‘The insurance agent profession is a virtuous profession. They save others by telling them what they want. If they protect their lives, it is a religious act,’ he said. ‘That is why I was attracted to this profession because it is good for others and good for myself.’

Govinda has settled an insured’s claim within 2 years of being in the insurance sector. ‘The company also paid that claim easily,’ he said. ‘After getting the insurance, it would be very happy to pay the claim to the insured. I was very happy to pay this claim. The feeling that insurance helps in sorrow came to the fore. Even after filing this claim, I got the courage to say that everyone should get insurance.’

Govinda says that insurance is indispensable for everyone. ‘Today’s time may not be the same tomorrow. People’s lives are not always the same. We should insure for tomorrow. Insurance is a support in old age, a friend in disasters. Insurance becomes a vehicle to minimize the compensation for financial events that occur in life. “That’s why you should get insurance now that you’re earning money,” he said.

Govinda is confident that getting insurance is essential to instill the habit of saving even small amounts and that this will ensure a bright future. Govinda has experienced that an agent has to be diligent in his profession. He has experience that anyone who is persistent can succeed in this profession. He says that the more hard work you put into this profession, the more income you will get.

Govinda believes that since it is a profession that has no time limit and can earn as much as you want, those who work honestly in this profession will succeed. He believes that an insurance agent should be hardworking, honest, patient, able to explain insurance and listen to the customer.

When asked what advantages he gives to newcomers to the agent profession, Govinda said, “Insurance is good in terms of income if you work hard and consistently. It is a profession that makes you mature before your time if you work hard. It is very good because it is financially strong. It is a very good profession because it can be embraced as a part-time job.”

Govinda has received the Silver Club award from Citizen Life.
