Kathmandu. Global IME Bank Limited and Shangri-La Development Bank Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide non-fund based banking facilities to the customers of Shangri-La Development Bank.
Surendra Raj Regmi, CHIEF Executive Officer of Global IME Bank Limited and Suyog Shrestha, CHIEF Executive Officer of Shangri-La Development Bank signed the MoU.
As per the agreement, Global IME Bank will provide non-fund based letter of credit, bank guarantee, document against payment, document against acceptance, trade transaction banking etc. to the customers of Shangri-La Development Bank.
Global IME Bank is recognized as the best bank in Nepal in two categories under Global Finance’s Best Bank Award 2024 and 2025 and Euro Money Award for Excellence 2024.
Similarly, Global IME Bank has been honored in different categories by various national and international organizations.
Global IME Bank is the first commercial sector commercial bank in the country to have a branch network in seven districts of the country.
The bank has been providing excellent service to its customers through more than 1,000 service centers including 352 branches, 384 ATMs, 155 branchless banking services, 68 extension and revenue collection counters and 3 foreign representative offices.
In addition to providing banking services to Nepali citizens, the bank has also been providing remittance services from different countries of the world.

Similarly, Shangri-La Development Bank has been providing banking services through 109 branches and 30 ATMs across the country.
