Global IME Bank plants trees in Tokha and Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipalities

Kathmandu. Global IME Bank Limited has planted trees in Tokha Municipality of Kathmandu and Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality of Khotang. The bank has planted 1,000 fruit saplings in different schools of Tokha Municipality.

Mayor of Tokha Municipality Prakash Adhikari, Chief Executive Officer of the bank Surendra Raj Regmi, school principals, school representatives and students were present on the occasion.

In addition, the bank has planted 1500 bamboo saplings in different wards of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality. Chief District Officer of Khotang district, Chief of District Coordination Committee, Chief of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality, district leaders and representatives of Nepal Army and Nepal Police and local people were present on the occasion.

On the occasion of its 18th anniversary, the bank is planting trees at various places with a target to plant 18,000 saplings across the country this fiscal year.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the bank has been planting trees in different places of all the seven provinces. In addition, the bank believes that the tree plantation will help reduce climate change and increase the income of the locals.
