Kathmandu. Global IME Bank in association with Nepal Clearing House has launched a card-based online payment gateway. After this facility, the bank will be able to acquire physical merchants like online merchants and online merchants of the bank will be able to receive payments through Visa and Marster cards issued by any national and international banks.
NCHL and Global IME Bank have launched an online payment gateway to promote eCommerce transactions in Nepal. This payment gateway will support both domestic and international payments, making it easier for merchants to expand the scope of their business. In addition, this payment gateway makes customer’s card payments more secure using 3D secure technology and also reduces the risk of unauthorized transactions. Merchants based online or e-commerce will be able to integrate the service into their portal after contacting the bank to join the payment gateway and making necessary procedures and technical arrangements
Global IME Bank has been providing excellent services to its customers through more than 1,100 service centers including 355 branches, 379 ATMs, 237 branchless banking services, 69 extension and revenue collection counters and 3 foreign representative offices in 77 districts.
At present, lg has been providing domestic and various international card transactions, hosting, switching and online payment gateway to 12 banks and financial institutions. With the participation of Global IME Bank in online payment gateway, the scope of digital payments in Nepal is expected to expand further.
