From 2025 to 2032, the global health insurance market is projected to grow at an average of 9.7 percent annually. Insights predicts that the health insurance market in the Asia-Pacific region will grow rapidly in this projected year. The demand for health insurance in countries is increasing due to higher spending on health and more populations not being covered under insurance and increasing use of technology. Especially in China, India and South Korea, the scope of health insurance has been increasing.
The health insurance market is also growing due to rising treatment costs, illnesses, surgeries, and accidents.
According to BMJ Global Health, only a small number of people still have access to health insurance in emerging markets. 7.9% of people in low-income countries and 27.3% in low-middle-income countries have access to health insurance.
