Kathmandu. Gita Jayanti is celebrated by worshiping Gita Mata. The program was graced by Pashupati Area Development Trust’s Member Secretary Subhash Chandra Joshi as the chief guest and former member secretary of Pashupati Area Development Trust and patron of Manav Sewa Ashram, Dr. The event was organized under the aegis of Gita Press Publicity Centre Nepal and managed by Gita Parivar Nepal, Gita Press Book Sales Centre, Kathmandu and Gita Press Book Sales Centre, Butwal.
In the program presided over by Jaya Kishan Sarda, Chairman of Gita Press Book Promotion Center Nepal, Chairman Chair welcomed all the dignitaries present and informed about the brief information of Gita Press Nepal and the translation of Puranas started in Nepal. On the occasion, he said that Gita Press, Gorakhpur wanted the support of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) to continue the Gita Press in the Pashupatinath temple area as it was the desire of Gita Press Gorakhpur to translate the literature published by Gita Press Gorakhpur into Nepali language and distribute it in the premises of the holy area of Lord Pashupatinath.
Around 80 books have been translated into Nepali language since the establishment of Gita Press Nepal and the goal is to publish more than 100 books in Nepali language by 2026 BS.
Girish Rawal Bhatt, a Bhatt of Pushpatinath, gave his blessings on the occasion. Similarly, the special guests were former member-secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust and patron of the Manav Sewa Ashram, Dr. Dr. Govinda Tandon, Head of the Venkatesh Temple, Padmadharacharya and the chief guest Subhash Chandra Joshi, Member Secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) also delivered their speeches.
Bharat Kumar Todi, Vice President of Gita Press Book Publicity Centre Nepal, thanked the dignitaries present in the program.
The program was hosted by program coordinator and general secretary Anjani Nandan Maru. The program was attended by religious and social organizations, organizations related to different religions and cultures, Sanskrit Vidyashram, Gurukul, Valmiki Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Vidyashram, Marwari society, distinguished personalities and intellectuals.
