Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has formed a task force to provide relief to entrepreneurs who suffered losses during the protests.
The central bank is to form a task force to provide relief to the industrialists and businessmen who have suffered losses. NRB Governor Bishwanath Poudel had called businessmen and bankers to discuss the issue. During the meeting, Governor Poudel informed that a taskforce will be formed to study the damage. “The industrialists and entrepreneurs have suffered a lot due to the agitation of Genji,” said Governor Poudel, adding, “However, all sides should work hard not to weaken the morale of industrialists and entrepreneurs in this difficult situation.” ’
During the discussion, Governor Poudel pledged to provide concessions to the morale of industrialists and entrepreneurs. “A package will be brought for this”, he said, adding, “The agitation affected industrialists and entrepreneurs will be provided private facilitation.” ’
During the meeting, the banks also suggested Governor Poudel to bring relief package to the industrialists and businessmen who suffered losses. “If we don’t help the industrialists and businessmen who are in a difficult situation, they will not be able to get up,” the bankers said, “Therefore, the NRB should study the damage and take appropriate steps.”
The meeting was attended by presidents and vice-presidents of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC).
