Kathmandu. There has been a general improvement in the demand for real estate loans.
The data released by Nepal Rastra Bank on Wednesday for the 8 months of the current fiscal year up to Falgun has shown this. According to the data, banks have disbursed loans worth Rs 290 billion 222 million in real estate till Falgun. This is 8.2 percent more than the amount disbursed till mid-Ashar. Till mid-Ashar, banks had disbursed loans worth Rs 268 billion 128.9 million in real estate.
The demand for residential personal home loans has increased by 4.4 percent till Falgun. As of mid-Ashar, banks had disbursed Rs 387.1 billion under this heading, which increased to Rs 433.88 billion by mid-Falgun.
As per the provisions of the National Bank, banks are allowed to disburse residential personal home loans up to a maximum of Rs 20 million.
