Kathmandu. Ganesh Pandey, the chairman of Press Chautari Nepal and author of Oli’s autobiography, has revealed that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has resigned from his post.
Pandey, through his Facebook page, made public an appeal dedicated to the activists of the Gen-G movement on behalf of Oli and informed that Oli is among the soldiers of the Nepal Army in Shivapuri.
Oli was rescued by a helicopter from Baluwatar and shifted to a safer place after his resignation on Tuesday afternoon due to insecurity. Since then, rumours were spread on social media that he had fled abroad via air.
Following is the text of Oli’s statement issued by Pandey:

Today, sitting in this secluded security circle of Shivapuri, in the midst of the soldiers of the Nepal Army, I am thinking of you. Your faces are dancing in my heart. Wherever I go, every time, little children come to my lap as soon as they see me. Their innocent laughter, the warm touch of that little body, fills me with a wonderful joy. I feel really thrilled to be around the kids.
Perhaps you don’t know that in that bitter battle to change the law, because of the brutal torture inflicted by the regime of that time, I had no children of my own. Yet, my desire to be a ‘Ba’ never died, never faded. When I heard that my children’s lives had been ended by a police bullet, a lot has been over for me since that day. The wound of that pain is still there today. Still, I always believed that there should be peace in society. You might remember that in 2051 BS, when I was the Home Minister, not a single bullet was fired from the state side during my tenure. I have always stood for peace, because I have experienced the brutality of violence in my own life.
The movement of that second day, however destructive, I believe, did not come from your tender hands. Attempts are being made to do wrong politics by showing your innocent face, by playing on your feelings. Arson of offices with important records in the country, and the release of prisoners from prisons have not happened without incident. There is a deep conspiracy behind all this. This law, which we have brought through innumerable sufferings and sacrifices, at that time we were not allowed to speak, we were not allowed to assemble, we were not allowed to question. We have brought this light system by fighting and struggling against that dark situation. Today, if you have been able to raise your voice and agitate, it is because of this system. Today, there is an attempt to massacre this very system, and you need to be sensitive to it.
Grandparents,
Naturally I’m a bit stubborn. If it weren’t for this stubbornness, I might have given up long before I got to this point in the midst of so many difficulties. I have been insisting that the social media that does business in our country should follow the rules and be listed. I have been insisting that Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura belong to me. I have insisted that Lord Shri Ram was born in Nepal, not in India, as mentioned in the scriptures. If I had retreated from these stubbornness, I would have had many more opportunities and accomplished many things. If the map of Nepal including Limpiyadhura had not been sent to the United Nations (UN) or if others had followed my wishes, my life would have taken a different turn. But I have given all my property in the name of the state. Position and prestige have never been more important to me.
Staying in office or not has never been a big deal for me. The most important thing to me is to preserve the law. The main purpose of my life is to preserve this law, which gives you the right to speak, to walk, and to question. I believe that there will be no compromise on the issue of the system.
