Kathmandu. The Gandaki state government has decided to support the Lakshchandi Virat Mahayagya being organized by Galeshwar Ashram at devghatdham, a holy religious place. Chief Minister of Gandaki State Surendra Raj Pandey assured of cooperation and support during a meeting with Mahamandaleshwar Swami Atmananda Giriji on Wednesday.
The Ashram is organizing the Lakshchandi Virat Mahayagya at devghat dham, the holy pilgrimage site, from February 18, 2018 to February 15, 2018.
The ashram is going to organize this mahayagya following the classical belief that worshiping Bhagwati Mahamaya Chandi and Lord Shri Ganesh in kaliyug brings happiness, peace, prosperity and the emergence of the nation in the family. The mahayagya, to be organized on the occasion of the centenary of the establishment of Galeshwar Ashram, aims to awaken the spirit of nation peace, prosperity, self-welfare, all-round development of the nation’s people and universal brotherhood.
A delegation of the Ashram had reached Pokhara with the objective of mobilizing support and support for the Mahayagya and inviting eminent personalities. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Atmananda Giriji along with the ashram officials were part of the delegation.
Galeshwar Ashram is an ashram established with a resolve to promote Hindu religion and to organize the historical and religious significance of the holy Devghat Dham. It was founded by Ashtanga Yoga siddha Yogiraj Ishwarananda Brahmachari (Galeshwar Baba). The Ashram has been constructing and operating Veda-Vedang School at the holy Devghatdham, food and accommodation for the seekers living here, keeping in mind the welfare of the homeless and the elderly abandoned by the family.
The ashram is also running a charitable hospital and a guest house for around 1,000 people for the health treatment of seekers and elderly people living in Devghatdham. The guest house has free food and accommodation facilities. The hospital has been providing free health check-ups and medicines to the patients. The ashram has been conducting religious rituals and other religious activities regularly as per the date.
