Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Professionals Society Koshi NIPS Itahari Chapter has organized a corporate futsal tournament between banks, insurance companies and Nepal Telecom of Koshi Province. The program, which was held on February 24 at the premises of Arena Sports in Itahari, was presided over by Ganesh Shrestha, Vice President of NIPS Itahari Chapter.
The chief guest was Pushpa Khanal, Assistant Director of Nepal Insurance Authority Koshi Province Office. Among the guests, NIPS Koshi Treasurer Narayan Gautam, Siddhartha Premier Insurance’s Prakash Niraula, Prabhu Insurance’s Province Chief Sunil Pandey, Protective Micro Insurance Koshi Province Chief Dhana Bhattarai, and others emphasized that such an event would develop brotherhood and corporate culture among the employees of the organization.
A total of 14 teams participated in this futsal tournament, organized with the main slogan of “Unite for Health, Sports for Organizations”. Program coordinator Gopal Poudel thanked all the participating banks, insurance companies and Nepal Telecom teams for making the program a success and expressed his commitment to organize more excellent sports programs in the coming days.
The final match between Prabhu Bank and Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance was very exciting, and Prabhu Bank was able to win the series by defeating Salico 1-0. The winner received Rs. 30,000 and the runner-up Rs. 15,000, along with trophies, were handed over by the chief guest of the program, Pushpa Khanal.
Prabhu Bank’s Navin Rai, who performed excellently in the game, scored the most goals and won the title of highest scorer, while Salico’s goalkeeper won the best goalkeeper award.
