Kathmandu. A financial literacy program has been organized by the Nepal Microfinance Bankers Association and the Microfinance Employees Forum, Kohalpur Banke on the occasion of the World Financial Awareness Campaign or Global Money Week. The program was completed on Friday, Chaitra 8.
Every year, Global Money Week is celebrated nationwide in coordination with the Nepal Rastra Bank. This time, this campaign is being celebrated from March 17 to 23. The program is being celebrated with the slogan ‘Think Before You Follow, Wise Money Tomorrow’.
The program was attended by a large number of directors of Nepal Rastra Bank and various microfinance financial institutions. The program was organized with the aim of making the general public financially literate.
Such programs are important in increasing the financial awareness of the current youth generation. Distinguished personalities present at the program provided information on financial investment, savings, and other topics.
This campaign has been conducted globally every year since 2012 in coordination with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The OECD has stated that about 60 million children, adolescents, and youth in more than 176 countries around the world have benefited from this campaign so far.
