Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has urged not to propose plans and programs smaller than Rs 30 million for the budget for the fiscal year 2082.83.
In a separate discussion with the Ministry of Drinking Water and the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration regarding the budget formulation for the fiscal year 2082.83, Finance Minister Poudel urged to come out of the numerous plans and programs and emphasize proposing large, transformative and national priority projects and programs that are well prepared. He also said that their role in the programs that can be carried out by the provinces and local levels should be increased and that projects and programs within the scope of the provinces and local levels should be handed over, even if it is by giving a one-time grant.
The meeting regarding budget preparation was attended by Minister for Drinking Water Pradeep Yadav, Minister for Federal Affairs Rajkumar Gupta, Vice President of the National Planning Commission, Prof. Dr. Shivraj Adhikari, Finance Secretary, Revenue Secretary, Water Supply Secretary, Federal Affairs Secretary, Departmental Heads, among others.
The Ministry of Finance has already held discussions with the Ministries of Physical, Urban, Energy, Health and Industry regarding the budget preparation for the fiscal year 2082.83.
