Kathmandu. The entire system has been shut down after the fire at the Department of Transport Management (DoTM) office during the Jenji agitation caused damage to infrastructure.
Issuing a notice today, the Department stated that electronic equipments, printing machines and servers have been damaged in the physical infrastructures of the Department due to vandalism, arson, theft and looting. Due to this, the services related to driving license and electric vehicle registration (EDL VRS) have been disrupted.
In this dire situation, all systems related to information technology, including printing of driving licenses and details will remain closed until further notice, according to the Department.
