Kathmandu. Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, is set to make history. His company SpaceX is preparing to launch the world’s largest IPO next year in 2026.
The company is expected to raise more than $30 billion from this IPO. Its valuation is expected to reach about $1.5 trillion.
The current offer puts SpaceX’s share price at about $420. This puts the company at a valuation of more than $800 billion. If SpaceX were to sell 5 percent of the company at this valuation, it would have to sell $40 billion worth of shares. This will make it the biggest IPO ever. SpaceX is currently the world’s most valuable startup company.
SpaceX management and advisers aim to have an IPO in mid-to-late 2026. However, this date could be pushed back to 2027 due to market conditions and other factors.
The largest IPO so far was that of Saudi Aram. It raised $29 billion through an IPO in 2019. However, the company sold only a 1.5 percent stake.
SpaceX’s revenue is expected to be about $15 billion in 2025. It could grow to $22 billion to $24 billion in 2026. Most of its revenue will come from Starlink.
