Kathmandu. The stock market closed with double-digit gains today. Today, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 30.75 points to close at 2,631 points. Share prices of 205 companies increased while share prices of 42 companies declined.
A total of 2,97,38,139 units of shares of 319 companies were traded today. The promoter shares of Himalayan Bank Ltd. were traded the most today. The promoter shares of the bank worth Rs 1.66 billion were traded today. Shares of Union Hydropower worth Rs 34.30 crore were traded. Shares of Butwal Power Company worth Rs 25.48 crore were traded.
Shares of five companies rose by 10 percent today. The investors of Community Laghubitta, Gorkhas Finance, Panchakanya Mai Hydropower, People’s Power and Terhathum Hydropower earned the most by 10 per cent each.
Investors of Khanikhola Hydropower Company suffered the most losses today. Investors in the company lost 4 percent today.
