Kathmandu. World-renowned courier company DHL has decided to suspend the delivery of high-value parcels in the UNITED States.
DHL has decided to suspend deliveries of parcels above $800 after President Donald Trump raised tariffs. The decision will come into effect from Monday, the company said.
The company has clarified that this decision will be applicable until further notice. “We deliver parcels worth less than $800 to American customers. However, there may be some delay,” the company said.
Earlier, DHL had been sending parcels up to $2,500 to the US. “U.S. customers used to receive parcels sent through DHL after president Trump completed the normal procedure on customs check passes before imposing tariffs,” the company said. As a result, we have decided to stop delivering parcels above $800. ’
Founded in 1969, DHL has branches around the world. The company delivers 1.7 billion parcels annually.
