Deposits in banks have crossed Rs 7.1 trillion, how much is the loan investment?

Kathmandu. Deposits in banks and financial institutions have crossed Rs 7.1 trillion.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank data, the total deposits of banks and financial institutions have reached Rs 7,082 billion as of June 31. As of the previous day, the total deposit was Rs 7,071 billion. Deposits worth Rs 11 billion have been added to banks and financial institutions in a single day.

Similarly, banks and financial institutions have invested Rs 5,582 billion in loans till June 31. As of the previous day, the total loan investment of banks and financial institutions was Rs 5,580 billion. Compared to the previous day, the loan investment has increased by Rs 2 billion.

The average CD ratio of banks and financial institutions has decreased with the increase in deposits compared to loan investment. The CD ratio has come down to 77.73 per cent on June 17 from 77.82 per cent the previous day.

According to the NRB, the inter-bank interest rate is 3 per cent.
