Kathmandu. Deposits in the banking system decreased by Rs 14 billion in a single day. According to the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), deposits stood at Rs 74.89 trillion as of Monday, which reached Rs 74.75 trillion on Tuesday.
Similarly, credit disbursement reached Rs 5.635 trillion on Monday from Rs 5.63 trillion on Tuesday. Credit flow has increased by Rs 1 billion in a single day.
As of Tuesday, deposits of commercial banks have reached Rs 6.717 trillion while loans from commercial banks have reached Rs 5.12 trillion.
The CD ratio has increased to 74.53 percent and the interbank interest rate is 2.75 percent. The CD ratio was 74.38 percent the previous day.
