Kathmandu. The demand for residential personal home loans has increased in banks. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the current fiscal year 2082. This is according to the data from the first quarter of 83 months (July-September).
According to the statistics, banks have disbursed Rs 439.90 billion in residential personal home loans till mid-September of the current fiscal year. In this heading, the previous fiscal year 2081. The banks had disbursed Rs 396.88 billion in loans till September 19, 2018. The loan has increased by 10.84 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.
As of the end of the last fiscal year, the bank had disbursed Rs 417.56 billion in residential personal home loans. In the last three months, banks have extended loans worth Rs 22.33 billion.
However, the demand for real estate loans in banks has not increased much. The bank disbursed Rs 268.06 billion in real estate till mid-October of the previous year, which increased by 2.85 percent to Rs 275.71 billion in the current fiscal year.
