Kathmandu. The District Administration Office, Lalitpur has imposed curfew in some wards of Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City.
Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City Ward No. The curfew order has been imposed from 7:00 am on September 10 by specifying four forts within 2, 4, 9, 18 and 25. According to the administration, the curfew will be in force till 12 midnight today.
The administration has made it clear that no assembly, procession, demonstration, assembly, meeting or gherao will be allowed inside the four forts of these wards during the curfew.
On Monday, Genji had launched protests against corruption and irregularities in various parts of the country, including Kathmandu. After the police crackdown, the agitation took a violent turn. At least 19 people were killed and hundreds were injured in police firing.
The Lalitpur administration has imposed a curfew in view of the possible protest of Genji.
