Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has said that loans will be facilitated in agriculture and micro, domestic, small and medium businesses. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Bishwanath Poudel said this while unveiling the monetary policy for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS.
In addition, banks and financial institutions can provide agricultural or business loans up to Rs. 1 million by evaluating the collateral of agricultural shops, agricultural land and agribusiness structures to help improve the living standard of low and middle income households. The minimum loan loss will be calculated within the time period of loan up to Rs 1 million disbursed in this way.
Banks and financial institutions will be able to provide loans of different duration and nature to business firms for activities related to agribusiness including food grains, crops, livestock, fisheries etc.
