Citizens Bank’s profits shrink, bad loans close to 6%

Kathmandu. Citizens Bank International Limited for the current fiscal year 2081. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 960 million in the third quarter of 2017-19. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 1.21 billion in the last fiscal year. Net profit declined by 20.60 percent.

Net interest income increased by 11.58 percent. Last year, the net interest income was Rs 4.25 billion, which is now Rs 4.74 billion. The operating profit was Rs 1.86 billion last year as against Rs 1.33 billion now.

Earnings per share declined from Rs 11.37 to Rs 8.68. The distributable profit is Rs 162.6 million.

The company has raised Rs 198 billion in deposits and has given loans of Rs 167 billion. The company’s bad loans increased to 5.71 percent. Last year, bad loans stood at 3.76 per cent.

The net worth per share of the company is Rs 152.75.
