Citizens Bank provides food to street dependents for 18 days

Kathmandu. On the occasion of its 18th anniversary, Citizens Bank International Limited has provided food for 18 days to the homeless and people who have taken shelter on the streets after losing their mental balance. The bank in collaboration with Bhotusindira Social Welfare Organization has provided daily food to about 1900 people living in different parts of Kathmandu Valley from April 20, 2081 to April 6, 2082.

The bank has launched the campaign targeting people living on the banks of rivers, roadsides and under bridges in Bouddha, Chabahil, Jorpati, Maitidevi, Setopul, Old Baneshwor, Bhimsengola, Battisputali, Sinamangal, Gaushala and other areas. Through this program, efforts have been made to strengthen institutional social responsibility by fulfilling responsibility towards the neglected community in the society.

On this occasion, the bank has organized free health camps in all the seven provinces from April 11 to April 15. Around 1,700 people have received direct health services from the camps conducted at Haldibari and Mahendrachowk of Koshi State, Bidyapati Chowk of Madhes Province, Budhanilkantha of Bagmati Province, Amrapuri of Gandaki State, Jitpur and Hospitalline of Lumbini Province, Srinagar and Dullu of Karnali State and Mahendranagar of Sudurpaschim State.

The bank has been carrying out social activities every year on the occasion of its anniversary.
