Citizen Bank’s profit is Rs. 1.25 Npl rises to close to 5% over Rs 1 billion

Kathmandu. Citizens Bank last fiscal year 2081. Financial statements for the fourth quarter of 82 have been made public.

According to the financial statement, the bank earned a profit of Rs 1.29 billion in the last fiscal year. The previous fiscal year 2080. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 1.32 billion in 2017-19. In this way, the bank’s profit has decreased by 2.08 percent compared to the previous year.

In the review year, the bank’s distributable profit stood at Rs 775.4 million. The bank has the capacity to share 5.25 percent dividend.

In the review year, the operating profit of the bank increased to Rs 2.09 billion. In the previous fiscal year, the operating profit was Rs 2.04 billion. The bank’s operating profit also declined by 2.32 percent.

In the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year, the bank earned Rs 6.36 billion in interest income. In the same period last year, the bank had earned Rs 5.72 billion in interest income. Interest income increased by 11.20 percent.

With a paid-up capital of Rs 14.76 billion, the bank’s retind earnings are negative at Rs 775.4 million and reserves are Rs 7.40 billion. In the previous fiscal year, the retained earnings stood at Rs 613.2 million and reserves at Rs 6.70 billion.

In the review year, the bank collected deposits of Rs 211.50 billion and invested Rs 168.95 billion in loans. In the previous fiscal year, the bank collected deposits of Rs 243.80 billion and invested Rs 153.34 billion in loans.

In the review year, the bank’s bad loan ratio (NPL) increased to 4.94 percent. In the same period last year, the bank’s NPL was 4.10 percent.

The bank’s annualised earnings per share (EPS) declined to Rs 8.76. Last year, the EPS was Rs 9.30. The bank has a net worth of Rs 155.42 per share with a PE ratio of 26.06 times.
