Kathmandu. Birgunj: Nepal Insurance Authority(NEA), Madhes Province Office has organized a discussion and interaction programme with the chiefs of state offices of insurance companies in Birgunj.
On the occasion, Chairman of Nepal Insurance Authority Sharad Ojha directed the chiefs of state offices of insurance companies to work responsibly to increase the credibility of insurance companies.
Stating that there would be no problem in payment of claims if the risk assessment of the insurance companies is correct, Chairman Ojha directed them to carry out the risk assessment properly and work in accordance with the Insurance Act rules so that there is no problem in the market.
Chairman Ojha urged the authorities to inform the AUTHORITY if there are any problems or complaints related to insurance at the state and local levels.
On the occasion, chiefs of state offices of insurance companies expressed their views that the state office does not have adequate powers and lack of human resources, it is difficult to take recommendations of agriculture insurance and inspect the damage, cash back is manipulated, unhealthy competition is taking place, awareness about insurance has not increased and there is a need to simplify the claim process.
Heads of state offices of Birgunj-based life insurance company and non-life insurance company were present on the occasion.
