Cd ratio is trying to come down to 78% due to accumulation of liquidity, how much is it now?

Kathmandu. In the month of June, banks are focused on recovery of loans rather than increasing loans, so the flow of credit has not increased compared to deposits in the bank. As a result, the average CD ratio of banks is trying to fall below 78 percent.

According to nepal rastra bank data till Last Thursday, the CD ratio has decreased to 78.05 percent. The CD ratio was 78.13 percent the previous day.

Although the bank can provide loans by maintaining a CD ratio of up to 90 percent, the increase in investable liquidity in the bank has continued due to capital fund pressure and economic slowdown in the country.

Deposits in the banking system increased by Rs 8 billion in a single day on Thursday. Deposits have increased from Rs 7,035 billion till Wednesday to Rs 7,043 billion as on Thursday. Similarly, the loan disbursement stood at Rs 5,574 billion on Wednesday to Rs 5,575 billion on Thursday.

The credit flow has increased by Rs 1 billion in a single day. As of Thursday, deposits in commercial banks have reached Rs 6.33 trillion, while loans worth Rs 4.955 trillion have been disbursed from commercial banks.
