Kathmandu. A service agreement has been signed between Om Hospital and Research Center and Sanima GIC Insurance.
The agreement regarding service facilitation and cashless services was signed during a brief program organized on Wednesday at the head office of Sanima GIC Insurance in Ghairidhara, Kathmandu. According to the agreement, the following points are included: Sanima GIC Insurance will provide high-quality healthcare services available at Om Hospital to its customers as mentioned in the hospital’s citizen charter, facilitate insurance-related officials to meet patients undergoing treatment at the hospital as per the hospital’s rules, facilitate insurance-related doctors to discuss and consult with doctors involved in Om Hospital’s treatment regarding treatment plans, provide information to Sanima GIC officials about treatment bills and medical records as needed, and facilitate a specific time if it is deemed necessary to audit each patient’s treatment bills separately.
It is mentioned that Om Hospital has a provision to provide services by looking at the photo of the customer policy document issued by Sanima GIC to identify the service recipient. In the case of institutional employees, an institutional recommendation letter or pre-certification letter issued by Sanima GIC must be submitted. The hospital must take a photocopy of the identity card of the service recipient and attach it when sending the bill.
The hospital must inform the insurance company in the prescribed format as per Form ‘Annex A’ within 24 hours before the treatment of a general patient affiliated with Sanima GIC.
Sanima GIC must send a guarantee of payment or authorization letter within two days of the hospital’s notification. Based on which, it is also mentioned that the bill issued by the hospital for the treatment services will be paid within 21 days from the date of receipt by Bijock Insurance.
The agreement has been signed by Chief Executive Officer Yama Bahadur Mahat on behalf of Om Hospital and Chief Executive Officer Sudyumna Prasad Upadhyay on behalf of Sanima GIC Insurance.
